You can use straight water in the tank for light cleaning or for heavy cleaning you can use an alkaline detergent and heat the water, this will remove heavy contaminants (oil ,carbon) we have even found it will remove paint.

1 : PLACE THE ULTRASONIC CLEANER ON A FLAT STABLE SURFACE
2 : FILL THE TANK TO AT LEAST 3/4 FULL ( THE TANK MUST ALWAYS BE ATLEAST 3/4 FULL WITH WATER OR DAMAGE CAN OCCOUR TO THE TRANSDUCERS AND DRIVER CIRCUITS
3 : ADD YOUR DETERGENT
4 : PLACE YOUR ITEMS TO BE CLEANED INTO THE BASKET
PLUG THE POWER CORD INTO THE ULTRASONIC CLEANER AND WALL SOCKET
5 : TURN THE MACHINE ON
6 : SET THE CLEANING TIME ( UP AND DOWN KEYS ) PRESS THE MODE BUTTON TO MOVE TO THE NEXT PARAMETER
7 : SET THE TEMPERATURE ( UP AND DOWN KEYS ) PRESS THE MODE BUTTON TO MOVE TO THE NEXT PARAMETER
8 : SET THE REQUIRED POWER LEVEL ( UP AND DOWN KEYS ) PRESS THE MODE BUTTON TO MOVE TO THE NEXT PARAMETER
9 : SET THE REQUIRED FREQUENCY ( UP AND DOWN KEYS ) PRESS THE MODE BUTTON TO MOVE TO THE NEXT PARAMETER
10 : PRESS THE START BUTTON , NOW THE CLEANING CYCLE WILL BEGIN AND CONTINUE UNTIL THE SET TIME IS REACHED
PLEASE NOTE THE WATER TEMPERATURE WILL RISE AS YOU USE THE ULTRASONIC CLEANER , THIS IS NORMAL AND UNAVOIDABLE AS THE ULTRASONIC PROCESS CREATES HEAT
